Certain tasks require a high level of concentration and you may fail to notice what time it is, even if you have a clock in the lower right corner of the screen. To answer this issue, Talking Time Keeper will remind you of the time verbally. It uses realistic voices to pronounce the time every hour, half hour or quarter hour. Additionally, it provides a time synchronization feature, as well as other useful tools.

Apart from the setup wizard's welcome screen, there are only two steps to go through before installing the software. After specifying a destination path, you may proceed to the next step, where you will find the Install button. The wizard will install the software's components in a matter of seconds and you can run it immediately.

The application works in the background and it will announce the time according to your settings or on demand, if you left click its system tray icon. When the time is announced, a small window will display a calendar, as well as a day and night view, on a map of the world. Right clicking the icon will bring up the application's interface. The available options allow you to synchronize the system time instantly, access a stopwatch, display the day and night view or the calendar and more.

Talking Time Keeper can also display the time from other places in the world. After clicking the World Time option, on the interface, you will have to add one or more cities to a list and activate their entries. The time for your selected cities will be displayed on the same window, when the software announces your local time. You may configure the application to pronounce the time differently, announce only the time or date and more, on its Preferences panel.

Talking Time Keeper lets you define one or more alarms in various ways. You can set it to go off at a certain time and date, once or recurring. Alternatively, you may set the program to count down a given amount of time or count down to a specific date and time. It is also possible to select one or more actions to execute when the alarm is triggered. Talking Time Keeper can announce the time, play a chime or other sounds, display a message, a picture, run a program or shut down the computer. The created alarms are added to a list, where you can activate or deactivate them separately.

Pros

Talking Time Keeper uses realistic voices to announce the local time. It can synchronize the Windows clock and it lets you set up different alarm types. The software is very easy to configure, due to the fact that its interface is not overloaded with options.

Cons

It is not possible to set a default time interval for the alarm's snooze feature. The precise time is only a fraction of what Talking Time Keeper has to offer. It can pronounce the time, using realistic voices and it provides many customization options for alarms, world time and more.
